We’ve changed our name to SharkMissile Interactive! To go to the new blog simply click on the name.
Here is a mockup of the game user interface with the inventory screen up. The arrows above and below the campfire object switches between different menus. The currently active menu is the invention/creation screen.
This here is a concept sketch of a female guard. The sketch was meant to look very similar to how the character might look in the game.
We decided to remove the clunky metal armour from her though, replacing it with chain mail to give a more guard like and less assassin-knight appearance.
We’ve been redoing and making concepts from the scratch (again). This time it’s final though. I’ll post some of the new stuff in the coming days.
Things have been so quiet recently has been because it felt like a bad idea to post stuff that might only a day thereafter be outdated. :)
Attempt 2. I’ve practised making vegetation a bit, and this is the result. A bit better than the previous (soon to be removed) bush, right? :)
Current state of the model. If the rest of the team likes it it will now move on to be animated by our animator.
Sorry for the slightly offset camera by the way. I didn’t notice it until I put together the video
Texturing in progress. :)
The head doesn’t have any textures, the hair is just a temporary model and everything else is still quite far from done I might add. Otherwise I think it is turning out pretty well :p
Been some talk about the shoulderpads. Might constrain movement too much (or cause clipping) so I’m not sure if they can stay.
Iron Armour based on the concept. Note the arms poking through the shoulderpads. In the famous words of Blizzard: “Working as intended”
…or not. It will be fixed when the model is being prepared for animating. ;)
Concept for iron armour for the female player character.
The new female hero character mesh is pretty much done now. Next step will be texturing it or creating some sort of outfit or armour for it.
